Engaged Search

An engagement fee is paid upfront with the balance on candidate acceptance. Engaged search is much more successful than contingent and a lower cost. This approach ensures a higher level of commitment from both the client and Tapley Search Group in finding and presenting qualified candidates for the job. It's a solution-based strategy that aims to deliver better results in recruiting efforts. We work on no more than 4 engaged searches at any one time, Engaged search is preferred & results are favourable with roles that are complex and the talent pool is in demand and competitive. The sector of Restructuring and insolvency across Finance and Legal is our niche. Engaged search is the best model for the majority of roles we recruit.

Retained Search

Client pays us a fee in 3 stages and we get the job done. Exclusive, retained, confidential search. We only work on 3 retained searches at any one time. Retained search is our approach for senior level hires. The sector of Restructuring and insolvency across Finance and Legal is our niche. We believe retained is the best model for senior level, confidential roles.

Contingent recruitment

The contingent model, where a fee is paid only when a candidate accepts an offer, is suitable for roles that are relatively easy to fill and where there is less competition for talent. However, if a client has already engaged multiple contingent agencies without success, it's unlikely that engaging another contingent agency will solve the problem. Retained or engaged models are more cost-effective than the contingent approach. We take on contingent assignments under specific circumstances, but our preferred models are retained or engaged searches.

Psychometric Assessment

Tapley Search Group is Hogan certified in partnership with Peter Berry Consultancy. The psychometric tool we use is recruitment focussed and examines personality from every angle.

We believe that using psychometric profiling eliminates bias in the recruitment process, reduces time to hire and reduces turnover. We offer psychometric assessments as an additional service/cost after first round interview with the client has been conducted.
